Colorado and Southern 543

History:

Built by Pullman in 1906, this car was converted into a kitchen/bunk car #99092 by the Colorado and Southern for work train service in December 1949. It is an example of the passenger cars used by the C&S for the first half of the 20th Century and undoubtedly saw service in Boulder County. Sold to the Forney Museum by the C&S around 1976, acquired by its current owner from the Forney Museum in 2001.

U.S.A. Hospital Car

History:

This car is owned by a BCRHS member and displayed at the site. It is a former WWII US Army hospital car that was converted from a dining car (the car is thought to have been built around 1910). Photo by Jason Midyette.
